As hard as the Garden fans try; M.V.P. chants that swirl through the building for every Garnett basket, he won't be the NBA MVP this season. Look for Kobe Bryant to take that honor with King James keeping him honest throughout the remainder of the season. Be it as it may that the Celtics have the best record in the NBA, and Kevin is a large reason why, Kobe has just done too much. The numbers are too great. True: KG has turned Boston around, into an upbeat, thriving basketball city in only one season (we haven't even played a postseason game yet) but the MVP title encompasses numbers. You may or may not agree with this, but it is unfortunately true. What do you think? Who will be the NBA M.V.P. this year? Furthermore, does the title, M.V.P. encompass more than just statistics, or should it give more importance to the Brian Scalabrine's of the NBA?

I agree KG should be the MVP this year. We all know like you said it probably wont be in his favor though.
I agree that KG should be the MVP. The big man has helped take the Celtic's from near worst in the league, to first overall.
Sorry I dont think KG or Kobe or Lebron deserve the MVP this year. Chris Paul is the most deserving player. His numbers are just ridiculous and his team is the top in the west. The only problem is that it will be a popularity contest and either Kobe or Lebron will take the honor this year.
Chris Paul should be MVP. If you want to talk about teams that have turned around because of a certain player, Chris Paul is the one. New Orleans has become a contender and Chris Paul is averaging 21 and 12 last time i checked. He is the pick
